The company combines local markets expertise with payment technology enabling global merchants to successfully expand their business into high growth, emerging markets while eliminating the many operational complexities of managing cross-border payments.

Our team is growing and we are looking for a Junior Accountant to be based in Colombia. As a Junior Accountant, you would

perform accounting activities in accordance with accounting principles and standards for the

control of the organization's financial resources and ensures that such information complies with all regulations,

laws and reporting requirements.


Job Duties And Responsibilities:

Month-end and year-end close process.

  • Maintaining and reconciling balance sheet and general ledger accounts.
  • General accounting of the company (supplier, accruals, invoices, fixed assets, income, and expenses).
  • Post manual journal at month end with the appropriate and completes supporting documentation.
  • Perform monthly Inter-Company Reconciliations.
  • Calculate and post manual journal of the transactions in foreign currency.
  • Bank accounting and reconciliations.
  • Processing invoices and receipts.
  • Prepare the cash reconciliations to ensure proper accounting and financial reporting.
  • Review all accounts, ledgers, and reporting systems ensuring compliance with appropriate local GAAP
/ IFRS standards and regulatory requirements.

  • Assisting with annual audit preparations.
  • Assisting financial statements and produce monthend financial reporting.
  • Assisting and validate modifications to accounting systems and procedures.
  • Review accounting processes and provide suggestions to increase efficiency and simplify processes.
  • Build strong relationships with business leaders and finance managers.
  • Preparing financial analyses and reports.

Experience And Qualifications:


Education:

Bachelor's degree in business, accounting, or related field.

Spanish fluent and English Advanced will be a plus.

Experience Target: 2+ years of accounting experience.


Knowledge/Abilities:

Experience in leading financial audits with Top Audit Firms.

Solid knowledge of IFRS and local GAP.

Strong understanding of economic and banking processes.

Solid knowledge of local tax compliance regulations and reporting.

Previous experience in audit firms will be a plus.

Excellent knowledge in Microsoft Office, particularly with Excel (mandatory).

Excellent knowledge in Oracle-Netsuite and other ERP.

Specific knowledge of payroll

Self-motivated, with ability to lead and drive change initiatives, can-do attitude.

Good organizational/time management skills, structural thinking.

Ability to be hands on with high attention to detail but also not lose strategic standpoint.

Willingness to work in a fast-growing company working environment and adapt to changes fast.
