We are looking for an immediate, full-time, permanent position in AMERICAS at Bogota, Colombia.

Job Purpose:


  • Under direct supervision of Legal Counsel Associate, provides counsel to corporate management on legal matters in alignment with the Senior Legal Counsel of the Department for DGF Colombia, Ecuador and Venezuela. As a Legal Counsel Associate ensures that business practices, policies, and dealings of DHL meet regulatory requirements to protect the organization from litigation. Researches, interprets, and prepares legal and business communication documents and contracts. Prepares and maintains official records, notices, and actions as required by international, federal, state, and local jurisdictions and by other regulatory authorities. Prepares monthly reports.

Your tasks:


  • Drafting customer and supplier agreements, including NDA's, LOI's, subcontractor agreements in Colombia, Ecuador, and Venezuela.
  • Liaising with sales and operations teams on bids and customer agreements.
  • Providing general duties including updating contract database.
  • Researches, interprets, and prepares legal documents.
  • Maintains official records, notices and actions as required by local jurisdictions.
  • Prepares and reviews proposed leases and other formal agreements.
  • Anticipates and guards against legal risk involving the company.
  • Assists in the management of Corporate Records.

  • Knows fundamental law concepts, practices and procedures of general law practice or a particular field of specialization.

  • Competent & experienced in facilitating meetings or workshops and presenting to groups

  • Ability to build rapport with key internal contacts

  • 80% written and verbal English proficiency skills
  • 3 to 5 years of relevant experience
  • J.D., LL.B. or equivalent.
