As an Application Consultant, you will play a key role in ideating solutions for our customers' business needs, responsible for supporting the sales cycle, sales growth and ensuring the proposition of feasible solutions for the Production Automation initiative.

This role leverages domain expertise to create data-driven solutions, provides pre-sales consultancy to sales teams, builds customer-specific solutions, and works with the sales teams to establish solid strategies for order conversion.

Your expertise in a blend of strategic thinking, sales and business development expertise, team leadership in a matrixial organization, and customer-centric approach will be instrumental in achieving our organizational goals.

Develops technical solutions and management processes by means of implementing systems or enterprise wide solutions, using the company's or a third-party's hardware/software products.

Develops and recommends solutions and strategies, based on the analysis of customer business goals, objectives, needs, and existing systems infrastructure.

Participates in sales and proposal presentations in addition to completing ongoing team account activities. Identifies additional product/services opportunities in customer organization.


Key Responsibilities

  • Drive growth and performance for the Lifecycle Business Segment in their geography/industry areas of responsibilities.
  • This professional will be based in Colombia, with primary responsibility for operations with customers located in Colombia, Ecuador and Central America. Eventually and in very specific cases it must provide coverage to the rest of the countries of the Andean Region and Central America.
  • Provide specific capability presales consultancy and conceptual support to members of the sales teams to aid their conversations with the customer. This may include attending customer meetings, performing site investigations and delivering presentations.
  • Design the required solution for the customer, addressing their business needs, in such a way that it can be converted by the proposals team into a proposal document. Assist in reviewing proposals to ensure the content fully complies with the customer requirements. Help drive completion of terms and conditions negotiation process.
  • Coach members of the sales teams so they are comfortable to open conversations with their customers regarding Machine Safety solutions and understand when to engage with you. Help sales teams to create and execute strategies for selling services and solutions.
  • Uses strong business and financial acumen to identify ways for customers to reduce risks and costs.
  • Provide feedback to appropriate business unit portfolio teams to improve business outcomes delivered by our solutions.
  • Actively engage with key internal and external stakeholders, including crossfunctional teams, industry associations, government agencies, and strategic partners.

Qualifications And Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven track record of 6 years of experience in the industrial automation sector.
  • Proven track record of achieving business goals and fulfillment of specific objectives, including professional development goals.
  • Excellent negotiation, leadership, decisionmaking, and communication skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with customers and stakeholders.
  • Willingness to travel as required, both locally and internationally.
  • Advanced level of English to interact with customers and support teams located abroad.
