The Identity and Profiles Platform Team at ViX is looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join our team
The team's responsibility is The Identity API team is responsible for delivering resilient and lowlatency APIs that power our client platforms and partners. They focus on identity providers and the authentication and authorization process to ensure secure and seamless access to our premier Spanish Language Streaming Video Service.
Identity providers are central systems that manage user identities, allowing users to authenticate and gain access to our streaming service. The Identity API team works on integrating and optimizing these identity providers, ensuring they are reliable, scalable, and capable of handling high volumes of authentication requests.
Authentication is the process of verifying the identity of users who are attempting to access our streaming service. The Identity API team develops authentication APIs that facilitate this process, ensuring that only authorized users can access the service. They implement secure authentication mechanisms, such as username/password verification, multifactor authentication, or integration with thirdparty identity providers like social media platforms.
Authorization, on the other hand, focuses on determining what actions and resources a user is allowed to access within the streaming service. The Identity API team develops authorization APIs that enforce access control policies, enabling granular permissions management. By defining roles, permissions, and access rules, they ensure that users can only interact with the appropriate content and features based on their authorized privileges.

YOUR DAY-DAY:
You will be producing highlevel architectural designs and implementing those designs. You will deliver systems that are architecturally sound, operationally excellent and aligned with business needs. You will be working remotely with a multidisciplinary team across time zones. You will be expected to acquire a deep understanding of your assigned systems You have a sense of ownership to do the best with the time available and are proactive about triaging and prioritizing problems to get fixedYOU HAVE:

7+ years of software development experience as a technical individual contributor

4+ years of handson API and system development. 3+ years working in the video streaming space is a nice tø have. 5+ years of cloudbased development Have an expert level understanding of APIs and Identity Provider services, understand things like SAML, SSO, OAUTH.
