Purpose:

The position will be part of the Global HUB organization.

The Payroll Manager is accountable for payroll project implementation, creating and leading HUB capabilities from the ground-up to operationalize servicing for North America, LATAM, EMEA and ASPAC regions.

This role will provide leadership, guidance, and development support to the cross-functional, operations and project teams including adherence to statutory, legal and policy compliance.

The Payroll Manager will require strong communication skills to collaborate with stakeholders to maintain the efficiency, effectiveness, and excellence of the teams.

The role also requires vendor and service level management and will be responsible for providing strategic decision-making to drive the team's performance towards the company objectives and enterprise strategic priorities.


You will be responsible for:


  • Manage payroll project implementation, transition, and continuous improvements.
  • Serve as a payroll SME/Lead for the different phases of the transformation project like deployment, testing, data management, process documentation etc.
  • Provides payroll operational expertise to establish sustainable and effective operational model to ensure timely and accurate processing of all payroll cycles in compliance with company policies as well as statutory and legal requirements.
  • Leads audit and compliance for payroll controls, ensures corrective actions are communicated and addressed.
  • Maintains key relationships with regional hubs, GPO, and other stakeholders across the organization.
  • Understand and manage the relationship and delivery of payroll services by third party service provider in line with contractual service level agreements.
  • Make sound decisions to manage conflicts and risks in project implementation and operations.
  • Lead and assist others where possible for the good of the team and department. Adhere to company, department, and team standards of professionalism and protocol. Assure that behavior complies with the J&J credo and supports a positive work environment.
  • Maintains a high degree of confidentiality, data protection assurance, conformity with J&J policies, procedures, external regulations, and agencies.
  • Coach and develop a highperformance team through organizational leadership.
  • Serves as the escalation point for all project and operation responsibilities.

Qualifications:


Qualifications

  • A bachelor's degree or equivalent is required.
  • A minimum of 7 years of prior experience in payroll operations and payroll project implementation for at least one of the 4 regions (North America, LATAM, EMEA and ASPAC) is required
  • A minimum of 5 years in a supervisory role is required.
  • Strong data analytics skills and ability to work with a multitude of people across global footprint is required.
  • Strong English language verbal and written communication skills is required. In addition, Verbal and written proficiency in Portuguese is preferred.
  • Prior experience leading a team and demonstrable ability to motivate and manage a team is required.
  • Strong strategic, transformational thinking and decision making is required.
  • Prior Experience with Project phases like requirement gathering, testing, data management, process documentation etc. is preferred.
  • Prior Experience with E2E payroll processes, procedures, controls, regulations, and compliance is required.
  • Knowledge and/or Experience with the ADP Services, ADP Products
  • ADP GlobalView, ADP eTime, Celergo or SAP HR/Payroll module, and Salesforce Service Cloud is preferred.
  • Prior experience in a multinational company, and/or experience in a Service Center Environment preferred.
