YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Major Tasks Parent Testing Lead the seasonal testing program in Cali, Colombia, including but not limited to the planning, implementation, management and evaluations of Production Research trials according to established protocols.
Perform nutritional management, weed, pest and disease control in trials to express their potential.
Manage and administer the need for seasonal inputs in a timely manner.

Collaborate in the selection and training of people for seasonal work.

Search, validate and implement new agricultural research techniques that help support innovation projects to collaborate for the continuous improvement of the area.
Seed Production & QA Assurance Collaborate with NORLA's Production team about the production plan for the region and be an active member of the planning with third party companies.
Supervise the endtoend seed production process in coordination with the third party companies to provide recommendations, solutions as well as be in constant communication with NORLA's leadership about product performance.
Responsible of the accomplishment of product Quality Assurance at all production processes by third party companies, as well as be in constant communicationwith NORLA's leadership about product quality deviations.
Manage production indicators related to field quality (KPI's) and ensure communication with the seed production of Mexico / PACA.
Ensure consistency of seed quality process, field operations to consistently produce and deliver the best product, ensuring rapid communication of products and/or nonconforming situations (delivery, production, cost or quality) that could pose a significant risk to customers or seed supply.
Supervise the timely followup to quality standards from presowing, isolation, flowering and harvest. Monitor lots in flowering and harvest stages to prevent any risk of internal and external contamination.
Supervise the planning and execution of the detasseling process in a timely manner in the different field lotsSupervise the timely and efficient management of personnel for the different activities in the field lots and proper administration of agrochemicals for different controls, insects, pests, weeds and diseases.
Actively follow quality, safety, health and environmental policies and objectives.
Contribute to the continuous improvement of products and services with lower risks of accidents, rational use of natural resources and adequate destination.
Follow internal procedures and support compliance with legal requirements in activities. Networks with other areas of the company (Breeding, MD, Quality) to exchange knowledge and best practices.

WHO YOU ARE

Bacherlor or Masters degree in Agronomy or related discipline.
5+ years of experience in Agronomy/Plant Science.
Intermediate level of English.
High level of communication Initiative to learn and analytical skills as a researcher.
Autonomy to develop the role Drive results.
