Valentina Vera

Visual Arts major with a emphasis in Audiovisual Arts at Pontifical Javeriana University in Bogotá, Colombia, currently, in ninth semester. Interested in the field of film and digital photography, animation and video-art as a form of expression.

These past several months I have been working for Dogpack Rescue Foundation, a non-profit organization, where I have gained skills in communications creating social media pieces. I have also developed teamwork and leadership skills in organizing events and projects by problem-solving and coordinating with other members within the organization. I am also working with Movie Poster Archives, as a consulting producer and titles animator, where I further developed marketing skills by assisting in creating and consulting on social media posts.

I have worked in Freelance with clients in their art and video work such as; the music band Numasbala and Mon-C as an independent musician. I gained skills in communication, where I learned how to work with clients while also further developing my skills in animation, photography, editing and digital drawing. Lastly, I am currently working as a Monitor Assistant at the photography laboratory at Pontifical Javeriana University, where I assist students with their film photography assignments. With the monitoring of chemicals and equipment, I have developed a level of professionalism and organizational skills.

My academic background has equipped me with strong skills in visual arts, multimedia and audiovisual , which I have also applied in my work experience. I have taken five different photography courses, which include film, digital and alternative photography. I have also gained audiovisual skills with courses such as Pre-production, Production, Post-production, Animation and Digital Video.
