Business Overview:

The Hispanic Latin America region is a key market for BNP Paribas.

While Brazil remains the largest economy in Latin America, other major countries in the region are also significant contributors for the business and for long standing relations with clients.

For example, BNP Paribas has been uninterruptedly present in Colombia for more than 40 years.

BNP Paribas has a historical footprint in the Hispanic Latin America.

The Bank has been in the region since 1914 and is now present in 5 countries with nearly 2000 employees between Corporate and Institutional Banking (CIB) and International Financial Services.


CIB in Hispanic Latin America has world-class teams of roughly 200 professionals spread among Colombia, Mexico, Chile, Peru and Argentina, thus ensuring an overall coverage of BNP Paribas' client franchise in the region.

All BNP Paribas' business lines have operations in Hispanic Latin America and are structured in such a way as to provide their clients with the best combination of specialists according to sector, product or geographic region.

In the context of growing globalization, they are able to accommodate their clients thanks to their powerful regional platforms:


  • In North America (essentially New York but also other hubs such as Houston and San Francisco) and Brazil (Sao Paulo) with a number of professionals covering Latin America.

Job Purpose:

Support the Sales Team of BNP Paribas Colombia in daily activity with clients. Follow up client needs, identify potential business opportunities and assist on the operational workflow.


Duties and Responsibilities
Keep an organized and clear record of daily transactions with clients to evaluate activity, evolution and provide statistics.

Track onboarding and recertification process for new and existing clients.

Participate in the weekly trading Committee and prepare daily reports.

Monitor relevant information on client's activity and business development to identify any potential risk for the bank.

Be continually vigilant to ensure that compliance policies are properly applied. Identify any potential misconduct and respond rapidly whenever necessary.

Monitor credit lines that are necessary for the business and participate in credit committees


Understand, analyze and study different industries (Corporates, Pension Funds, Insurance Companies, Asset Managers) in order to find business opportunities and structured solutions for clients.

Support booking and settlement of transactions executed by the Team


Qualifications
- _Education: Industrial Engineering, Business administrator, Economist, Finance_
- _Specialized Knowledge. Financial Markets and Derivatives _
- _Abilities : Medium level of English, Microsoft Excell and Power point_
- _Experience (type of industry, business / function, years): 1-2 Years Working experience in Finance, Sales._
