Position Description:


A2R Team Lead Legal Entity Accounting is responsible for the local statutory accounts and Statutory Financial Statements for companies under their responsibility.

This position is highly involved in all local statutory audits.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Design audit plans in terms of schedules, communication protocols, timely escalation.
  • Performs supervision tasks to analysts that include performance evaluation, disciplinary actions, etc.
  • Thorough understanding of the audit process and ability to liaise closely with Country Tax Centers (CTC) contacts, auditors, and tax advisors
  • Key point of contact for Johnson & Johnson Country Tax Centers (CTCs) in local markets
  • Key point of contact within the group on all technical statutory accounting queries and be responsible for establishing and maintaining relationships with CTCs and external audit teams (PwC and tax authorities as required)
  • Ensures accuracy and adherence of Corporate policies and IFRS.
  • Monitors and facilitates the activities scheduled for each external audit.
  • Suggests changes in and additions to accounting practices and procedures.
  • Provide specific guidance and support on complex business issues and financial system issues so that overall control is maintained
  • Ensure consistent processes to deliver data for local financial statements & local statistical submissions
  • Ensure compliance with local obligations in each of its regions in charge
  • Implements such changes where applicable.

Education:


  • Education level required: Fully qualified accountant or an international qualified accountant equivalent, with a minimum of 7 years post qualified financial experience.

Experience:


Required:


  • You should have at least 5 to 7 years of experience working in big four (PWC, EY, KPMG, Deloitte) or have under their responsibility the attention of the external audit.
  • Demonstrated ability in a similar job in finance / accounting / customer service environment.
  • Knowledge of general accounting processes.
  • IFRS or USGAAP knowledge.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel, interpersonal skills, understanding of accounting principles and practices, compliance knowledge (SOX and internal controls)
  • Knowledge of local regulations in countries other than Colombia (optional)
  • Knowledge in business analytics (optional)

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal, supervisory and customer service skills required.
  • Proven business partnering skills (especially with external audit teams)
  • Ability to multitask, work under pressure, meet deadlines and be able to thrive in a fastpaced work environment.
  • Great US GAAP accounting knowledge
  • Appreciation of local GAAP differences and adjustments from US GAAP

  • Fluent English and Spanish
