ASSIGNMENT:


  • Field Support Specialist to execute integration activities with DWDM Optical technologies. Preparing and Executing complex MOP's required to perform activities in new or live networks.

MAIN ACTIVITIES

  • Execute on field technical procedures on customer networks in Latin America region. New node insertions, new service creation, Network topology modifications, etc.
  • Execute on remote technical procedures on customer networks in Latin America region. Configure New services, Nodes, Network topology modifications, etc
  • Lead and execute Network acceptance protocols to deliver the new network to the customer
  • Support from remote other engineers on field.
  • Train other Engineers.
  • Guarantee the highest satisfaction level of the customer through the SLA (Service Level Agreement)

WORKING MODE:


  • Execute planned network activities on Field, or on remote depending on the procedure requirements.
  • Interactions with customers, and technical experts.
  • Availability to travel in South Latin America

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Telecom Engineer Degree and at least 1 year experience in similar position.
  • Solid understanding of physical transmission media and associated optical and electrical signal hierarchies.
  • Experience working with DWDM Networks, fiber optics networks and transport technologies.
  • Knowledge on Ethernet, IP and routing protocols.
  • Ability to document technical procedures.
  • Strong communications skills.
  • Available to travel inside or in South Latin America.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • 1. Intermediate Level of English (able to read and speak)
  • 2. Experience operating Optical Test Instrument equipment.
  • 3. Experience working on virtualized environment VMware / KVM
  • 4. Ability to coordinate deployment activities.
  • 5. Knowledge on phyton script, Java script, others
