As a member of our Product Development team, you'll work in an agile environment delivering industry-leading SaaS products and web service platforms.

You'll be deeply involved in translating wireframes and sketches into working prototypes to refine user interface behaviors. As Backend Software Engineer, you will be responsible for demonstrating expertise with Java and REST APIs.


Specific responsibilities will include:
Becoming an active member of an agile team of developersParticipating in daily stand-ups, design sessions, code reviews, and sprint demosEmbracing test development as an integral part of what you deliver as a software

developerBeing willing to respond to the unique challenges of delivering and maintaining cloud-based software including troubleshooting live production environments, minimizing downtime, and responding to client-reported

issuesThe Candidate:
Required skills/qualifications:At least 3 years of experience designing, writing, and deploying scalable software using infrastructure as a

codeExperience designing and implementing RESTful APIs and demonstrated proficiency with API concepts and

designProficiency with the Java stack, SQL databases, Python, and web application developmentExcellent Object-Oriented design and coding skillsStrong oral and written communication skills and ability to use both to communicate effectively to both technical and non-technical

audiencesFluency in written and spoken English at CEF B2 level or

aboveQuick learner with strong problem-solving and analytical skillsExperience writing unit and integration

testsAbility to work with a team of engineers on cross-functional agile

projectsUnderstanding of data structures, algorithm analysis, and design skillsPreferred skills/qualifications:Experience with cloud-based hosting solutions (AWS) and developing

APIsLight experience creating and consuming RESTful APIsKnowledge of modern CSS frameworks such as SASS and LESS
