WHAT WE OFFER:


  • Create and execute a proactive 360o communication campaigns, with an emphasis on consumer activations and support ongoing cadence of consumer comms activities for major markets across the Spanish Speaking South America Region.
  • Manage, in alliance with Regional Comms Managers, all aspects of press activities and ensure utilization of all tools available (data, industry research, host stories, etc.) to create proactive narratives that support community and brand.
  • Develop comms strategies and tactics that help move the needle in each key market and help educate consumers.
  • Create and review written press materials (story pitches, messaging guidelines, Q&As, briefs, presentations, speeches, etc.) and manage the approval process with both regional and global managers.
  • Support the team's reporting and measurement needs to report back impact and ROI as needed.
  • Work with other members of the Corporate and Consumer Comms teams for feedback and guidance on best strategies in specific markets and situations, help localize global projects and create local programs that help drive demand and build buzz.
  • Identify proactive press opportunities and drive national/global announcements, in support of policy, corporate and consumer communications goals.

REQUIREMENTS:


  • Bachelor's Degree in communications, journalism, marketing, public relations, or related.
  • 8+ years of Communications/Public Relations experience, either working in an agency or inhouse.
  • Fluency in both written and spoken English and Spanish is a must.
  • Possesses a strong understanding of South America's cultural trends and pop culture and has experience working with industry partners to build effective campaigns.
  • Experience working with and executing celebrity/influencer campaigns.
  • Understanding of celebrity/influencer marketing and local social media channels.
  • General knowledge of Spanish South America media environment including public policy matters more specifically relating to traveling, housing, technology, and the short term rental industry.
  • Proventrack record of building and activating effective communications initiatives inside a private company or PR agency.
