Within Nokia, you will be part of Customer Services team, covering customer service in different areas such as technical support, account support, operations, maintenance, network design / deployment / integration / transformation, and education.

Generating revenue and increasing customer satisfaction through planning, designing, deploying, integrating, optimising, operating, and maintaining phases.


The EPC and Policy Systems Integration Senior Engineer acts as the primary expert in technical issues assisting the EPC and Policy Technical Manager on Evolved Packet Core and Policy Network Integration.


Works typically on configuration and integration activities on complex networks, shares them among several customers under the EPC and Policy TPM supervision and deals with challenging technology areas (Nokia MME, SAE-Gw, ePDG, AMF, UPF, NRD and NPC/Policy integration, Expert Support, On-line SW Change Service, Interoperability testing (IOT) combined BGs projects.


Technical skills and qualifications:


  • Senior level knowledge of mobile packet core networks and functionality of GGSN, SGSN, SAE-GW, MME, AMF, UPF, NRD and NPC/PCRF.
  • At lease six years experience implementing EPC and Policy projects for customers. Knowledge of GSM/Packet-Core/EPC and Policy networks, routing and signaling; and GPRS call flow concept with all PS core nodes including Gb, Gr, Gn, Gi, Gx, Gy,Gz interfaces.
  • Meeting with customers to define how EPC and NPC will be used to satisfy their business objectives including the definition of customizations to be made to RSVs and Mapping tables, defining the Statement of Work, and defining the deployment activities Nokia will execute in production networks.
  • Experienced with VNF and CNF onboarding and orchestrations, deployment and troubleshooting of EPC and Policy.
  • Work in customer labs to collaborate with customers to execute customer acceptance tests, stage deployment configurations, validate installation Methods of Procedures (MOPs), validate migration procedures, and validate integration & interoperability of EPC and NPC with other network elements.
  • Knowledge of adjacent thirdparty NE's: Infoblox DNS, Checkpoint FW, Juniper and Cisco Routers/Switches.
  • Subject Matter Expert (SME) role technical resource with direct relationship with customers to quickly answer technical questions about the product and how it is deployed, how it is customized, and how it can be extended to meet new needs in customer networks.
