    Qualifications:
  • Proven experience as a
    Middle School Teacher:
  • Excellent level of English
  • Strong knowledge base in an area of knowledge (Math, Science, Social Studies, Literature, etc.)
  • Excellent understanding of the principles of adolescent development
  • The ability to communicate in ways students will understand, as well as with parents and administrators
  • The creativity to create engaging lesson plans and inspire students to learn

Nice to Have

  • Knowledge of the Responsive Classroom approach for Middle School
  • Knowledge of the Understanding by Design framework
  • STEAM approach

Job Description:


Responsibilities

  • Create a learning and caring community within the classroom
  • Develop a careful and creative program suitable for middle school students
  • Employ a variety of educational techniques to teach children in a second language (English)
  • Observe each student to help them improve their social competencies
  • Encourage students to interact with each other and resolve conflicts
  • Guide all students to develop their learning capabilities
  • Respond to students' needs
  • Supervise students to ensure they are safe at all times
  • Track students' learning process and report to parents
  • Communicate with parents regularly to understand the students' background
  • Collaborate with other members of the middle school team
  • Maintain a clean and safe learning environment conducive to learning
  • Be accountable for the learning of students
