As Software Engineer in Test, you will work in an Agile environment to test and deliver the next generation EdTech platform fueled by data.

You will be testing software that provides the foundation for Anthology Data Services and for the reporting core capabilities and features.

You will create and maintain an automation framework and create testing tools for the QA team.

You will create and maintain automated test cases that ensure comprehensive testing according to system specifications and design documents or wireframes.

This person will develop the test strategy for features, incorporating the right balance of unit tests, integration/API tests, and UI tests.

They will maintain communication with other team members as well as Development and Support teams and will document, troubleshoot, and isolate problems encountered during testing.

The Software Engineer in Test will perform all aspects of verification, including functional, regression, load, and system testing as well as documentation review, and will design, implement, and maintain complex testing environments.

Required skills/qualifications:

Experience with test automation tools and frameworks such as pytest and Webdriver, Postman, or JMeter
Experience with version control and source code management system like GIT, Stash or similar
Experience with JavaScript libraries/frameworks such as React/Vue, CSS3, HTML5, and experience implementing Web Services (REST API)
Indepth knowledge of various software quality and testing methodologies
Technical understanding of database configuration and ability to write simple SQL scripts
Experience with one or more scripting languages like Python, Ruby, or Groovy
B.S. in Computer Science or related area of study
Fluency in written and spoken English at CEF B2 level or above

Preferred skills/qualifications:

Experience with Snowflake DB
Experience with Amazon QuickSight and AWS Technologies
Ability to troubleshoot software/hardware configuration problems
Ability to capture test requirements, document test cases, and build test plans using automated tools like Cucumber, Appium, and/or Selenium
