Your Role and Responsibilities

  • The SRE is a strategic thinker and will help drive Kyndryl to continuously improve service status and maintain robust monitoring, alerts, and reporting on compliant environments and identify areas that require automation, as well as drive infrastructure modernization initiatives. You must be an expert leader in building a trusted relationship with our customers and partnering with them for success.
  • The SRE will focus on endtoend services across customer sites and platforms, understanding the IT infrastructure service lifecycle to drive improvements in site reliability, define SLOs, lead customer communications related to delivery and present findings, results and proposals to all stakeholders.
  • Background in Architecture with a strong technical background in multiple infrastructure disciplines, with deep technical experience serving large enterprise environments. You must have worked in an Agile environment and must know service management methodologies such as ITIL.
  • Collaborative, proactive, entrepreneurial, able to handle responsibility, and love to innovate. With quality, robustness, and security in mind, you will drive and implement new tools to facilitate operations, improve reliability, gather feedback on our platforms and make changes to resolve or mitigate common operational issues.
  • This person will work to improve automation of common processes and find innovative improvements and solutions to help services scale and become increasingly selfhealing.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

  • Experienced infrastructure architect.
  • Operational management, including incident management and escalation.
  • Experience working or operating as SRE.
  • Experience troubleshooting production systems and performing RCA.
  • Working experience in Infrastructure Services.
  • Previous experience working with public cloud platforms such as AWS, Openshift, Azure, GCP, or others.
  • Experience implementing process improvement through automation.
  • Experience with infrastructure capacity management reporting, forecasting, and performance management.
  • Consulting and advisory experience, particularly in the enterprise infrastructure space.
  • Ability to work in a global, multicultural, and diverse environment.
  • Knowledge of containerized workloads and management platforms such as Docker or Kubernetes.
  • Strong solution and design experience in an enterprise environment: Windows server, Linux server (RHEL is preferred), UNIX (AIX, Solaris), Windows server, storage, and Hyperscaler Cloud (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform).
  • Good leadership ability/skills

Preferred Technical and Professional Experience

  • Expertise with Ansible, Github, Python
  • Knowledge of SER practices
  • Knowledge in public cloud AWS, Openshift, Azure, GCP

Required Education
Bachelor's Degree
