The Role:


IWPR is seeking a consultant who will be responsible for facilitating synchronous and asynchronous workshops for digital media to design or update their audience strategies.

The consultant will provide advice on trend analysis, innovation and communication strategy, among others.

They will accompany the beneficiaries by reviewing their progress on a weekly basis and will schedule follow-up meetings on their plans.


In this role you will:

  • Implement the methodology and curricula for analysis and audience strategy workshops with an applied learning approach;
  • Review the progress of the audience monitoring strategy on a weekly basis and provide timely feedback to beneficiaries;
  • Facilitate synchronous and asynchronous workshops for digital media to design or update their audience strategies;
  • Schedule meetings, mentoring, and workshops with the beneficiaries to execute the program curriculum;
  • Submit a monthly report to IWPR detailing all activities carried out, systematizing progress, and identifying obstacles to program implementation;
  • The mentor must be patient and willing to work with media professionals over time to help them achieve their goals. He or she must be able to work at a pace comfortable for journalists, be available to answer questions and provide support at all times;
  • Follow up on agreed work and deliverables, and offer personalized advice based on the strategic planning of the digital media beneficiaries of IWPR.
  • Related Bachelor's degree in journalism, product management and / or MBA or accreditation of proven experience in the matter of at least 3 years.
  • Knowledge in media outlet monetization;
  • Minimum of 3 years experience with audience strategies in media outlets;
  • Experience in designing and facilitating workshops;
  • Extensive knowledge of the digital media environment in Latin America and the Caribbean;
  • Flexible availability to schedule meetings, mentoring, and workshops with beneficiaries in different time zones;
  • Fully bilingual (Spanish/English). Portuguese is a plus;
  • Ability to communicate complex information clearly to different audiences;
  • Cultural sensitivity and demonstrated ability to work and adapt to various cultures;
  • Professional ethics.

Other requirements:

  • Willingness to use the IWPR work safety protocol;
  • Willingness to adapt to the IWPR training methodology for restrictive societies.
