    Job Purpose

    As Buyer you will be required to execute procurement strategies for assigned components (goods / services), to ensure that quality, cost effective products are delivered in a timely manner. This role will be based in Arnhem. We understand the importance of balancing work and life and offer hybrid working with a minimum of 2 days in the office after initial introductory period.

    Job Description

  • Participates in defining procurement strategies and activities to mitigate risk together with the project manager and category.
  • Capable of resolving commercial issues and has skills to manage purchase orders of high values and complexity.
  • Continuously communicate order status with internal stakeholders and ensure accuracy of system data.
  • Prepares the purchase order documents in due time and checks for quality.
  • Autonomy in leading a purchase order negotiation, expediting and suppliers' management.

    • You are meant for this job if:

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, engineering or equivalent
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Ability to handle dynamic work environment.
  • Courage to insist on compliance in situations where the process and/or requirements are challenged or not followed
  • Experience of procuring various OEM components in the Oil & Gas/Petrochemical industries predominantly required for manufacture of skids
  • Knowledge of managing safety stock
  • Working knowledge of ERP, preferably SAP
  • Legal Skills and experience would be an advantage
  • Experience of working in a global multicultural matrix organisation
