Role
Summary:


The Applications Engineer is responsible for coordinating with the sales area, the marketing of pumping equipment within the national and international territory, through the preparation of bids or tenders for different vendors assigned by territory, taking into account a correct selection of equipment through the selection software and other tools of the corporation, complying with all specifications and requirements of each of the customers.


In addition, it is responsible for the development and updating of databases that support the sales area in making estimates of sales of equipment and services in the national territory, international market and intra-company sales, for different markets that this constitutes example: Energy, etc.


Responsibilities:


  • Establish the databases that serve as support for the realization of sales quotations.
  • Elaboration of quotations for the national and international market according to the guidelines and factors determined in a corporate manner.
  • Manage the corporate information system with the offers handled, as well as the elaboration of each of the formats required by the Corporation in cases of special offers.
  • Effective preparation and timely delivery of all Order Entry Forms to each of the respective business units, so that the delivery time offered to the customer is not modified, and that the manufacture of equipment begins in a timely manner.
  • Send the different quotations acquired from the subsuppliers in order to acquire the necessary material for the manufacture of the pumps.
  • Coordinate the acquisition of the quality plans of the different plants around the world, to know the elaboration of nondestructive tests to the pumping equipment, to corroborate its correct manufacture, and the attainment of the different quality documents applicable for each bidding process or offer.
  • Other tasks as assigned

Requirements:


  • Industrial or Mechanical Engineering or recent Engineering graduate.
  • Experience as an Applications Engineer or similar position such as, Inside Sales Representative, Engineer.
  • Sufficient knowledge in the area of Fluid Mechanics.
  • Knowledge of standards and documents such as ASTM, ISO9000, ASME, API.
  • Knowledge and use of equipment tools such as FEA; PPAPs, Cp, Cpk, Control Charts, Control Plans, etc.
  • Knowledge and interpretation of Drawings, Sectional Drawings, Bills of Materials, Data Sheets and Specifications of pumping equipment.
  • Experience in the use of Microsoft Office
  • English: Advanced
  • Good communication skills.
  • Well organized, proactive and able to work under pressure.
  • Interest in commercial aspects of the industry.
  • Location of work: Bogota, possibility of hybrid work 1x week.
