As a Principal Applications Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the technical direction of our Android applications, mentoring team members, and contributing to the success of our streaming platform.

YOUR DAY-DAY:
Lead the Android development efforts, providing technical leadership, vision, and guidance to the Android development team.

Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers, designers, and backend engineers, to define and shape the Android product vision, features, and user experience.

Drive the architecture and technical design of complex Android applications, ensuring scalability, maintainability, and adherence to industry best practices.

Mentor and coach Android developers, providing technical guidance, feedback, and fostering a culture of continuous learning.

Contribute to the development of high-impact features and functionality, ensuring code quality and adherence to coding standards.

Conduct in-depth code reviews to ensure architectural integrity, code consistency, and knowledge transfer within the team.

Collaborate with the QA team to define effective testing strategies, ensuring comprehensive test coverage and timely bug resolution.

Stay updated with the latest trends, technologies, and best practices in Android development, providing recommendations for continuous improvement.

Identify and address technical challenges, ensuring timely and successful delivery of high-quality Android applications.


YOU HAVE:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field. Advanced degree is a plus.

Over 8 years of hands-on experience in Android application development, with a strong focus on Java/Kotlin and Android SDK.

Proven track record of leading complex Android projects from concept to deployment.

Deep understanding of the Android development lifecycle, architecture patterns, and best practices.

Experience with streaming technologies, media playback, and DRM solutions is a plus.

Strong knowledge of software engineering principles, design patterns, and best practices for building scalable and maintainable Android applications.

Proficiency in using development tools such as Android Studio, Git, and Jira.

Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to address complex technical challenges efficiently.

Strong communication and collaboration skills, working effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
