The Manager, Public Sector Strategic Initiatives role is responsible for supporting the Public Sector Latin America leadership for the development of key business development projects in the Public Sector segment and associated organizations Financial Inclusion, Mobility and Government Sales.

This is a regional LAC role and not dedicated to Government Engagement in Colombia or Andean cluster.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Pursue regional business development initiatives in alignment with Mastercard's country strategies as well as regional and global priorities for the segment.
  • Work with product specialists, solution architects and consultants, to lead and shape the conversations around how Mastercard's product, service and ecosystem capabilities solve for the challenges that government clients face today.
  • Be familiar of how data, digital and cashless payments can solve issues in the areas of financial inclusion, citizen services, public transit, economic development and government operational excellence.
  • Support public sector strategic projects to align to market demand and strategic goals.
Role

  • Develop Government Engagement (now known as Public Sector) LAC Strategy and Growth plans, Competitor & Market Intelligence and Identification of new business opportunities and tactics to extend market position.
  • Lead projects or workstreams related to PS growth, develop presentations, generate research insights, undertake complex analysis to support recommendations.
  • Support the PS LAC Leadership to drive impact, increase collaboration, and address crosscutting topics (e.g., around subsegments, partners, tactical initiatives, GTM)
  • Assist leadership in identifying key issues, defining problem structures, evaluating options; and formulating underlying action plans to support market growth in public sector.
  • Collaborate on development of a narrative to drive the positioning for PS LAC and work closely with Marketing / Communications to deliver this narrative.
  • Partner with PS LAC market leads, Account Management and Market Development teams to identify new business opportunities, articulate PS LAC positioning, value proposition and represent in new and existing customers.
  • Bring competitor insights to help identify development opportunities to ensure customer needs are met and roadmap is aligned to market.
About You

  • Master's degree or foreign equivalent in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Information Systems or a related field and two (2) years of experience in job offered or as Consultant, Business Analyst, Business Development Manager or related. Alternatively, employer will accept a Bachelor's degree and five (5) years of progressively responsible experience.
