    We are looking for a high skilled professional to support foreign trade operations for Andean region, with excellent interpersonal relationship and team work. Location: Cartagena - Colombia.

    Responsibilities

    • Responsible for the execution of foreign trade activities related to import and export of raw materials, goods, equipment and spare parts for Colombia, according to either Sourcing or Procurement requirements, duly requested.
    • Ensure imports and export shall comply with all most updated regulatory, legal and Yara ethics and compliance standards. In importing products, there should be a focus on optimizing the process to achieve the lowest possible cost (shall be measured and reported), on time.
    • Manage purchase orders for fertilizers in import and local requirements, ensuring proper cost assignment and real time communications throught end-to-end process.
    • Lead communications and negotions with terminals for vessels operations, support logistic's team in discharge strategies.
    • Demostrate fully knowledge in Colombian customs requeriments and legislation for decision support in imports purchases.
    • Build business case scenarios and analysis to support supply chain challenges.
    • Supporting selection of maritime and customs agents based on measured performance and service level.
    • Manage process for quantities desviations during imports/local receptions ensuring legal compliance.
    • Safeguard invoicing procedure for local and intercompany process under foreign trade role.
    • Coordinate the release of goods from the carrier, Customs or other governmental agency inspections that may be required.
    • Ensure the registrations, permits and licenses are all in place, and in compliance with import requirements.
    • Manage complaints from customers and tracking of action plans to solve cases. Adopt and participate in the improvements of customer service procedures.
    • Be controller for custom agent contract ensuring high performance for operations.
    • Focal point for communications regarding imports, documents and invoicing with intercompany suppliers (Geneva, Colombia).
    • Follow the stablished procedure to inform financial and controlling department about foreign trade orders to pay and orders to collect.
    • Set Purchase Orders of raw material and services in the ERP system including all associated costs and the supplier information.
    • Follow up market intelligence information for fertilizers imports.

    Profile


    Education

    Bachelor degree in industrial or production engineering, international business, finance or another relevant field.

    Work Experience

    4 years of relevant foreign trade, procurement and supply chain experience.

    Knowledge and skills

    • Shipping business knowledge.
    • Local regulations knowledge for Colombia.
    • Fluent written and spoken English (C1 Level).
    • Multi tasking, whith the ability to priorize between different requirements.
    • SAP Modules: MM & PP.
    • MS Office.
    • Power BI.
    • Orientation to process improvements.
    • Analytical skills: Identify and drive structural improvements in foreign trade.
    • Relationships - Ability to build and maintain good relationships with leaders, coworkers, customers and suppliers.
    • Collaboration & orientation to service.
