About this role


Schlumberger has an opening in Bogota, Colombia for Data Sustenance/Operations Analysts, who will be responsible for working in Data Technology Team performing L1 and L2 activities and handling communication with business segments.

He/She will monitor activities related to Data Pipelines and Data Subscriptions operations using technologies like Informatica IDQ, Big Data, SQL, Unix, CloudSQL and related data management technologies primarily on GCP and Azure Cloud.

The role demands to lead (proactive) the by demonstrating a positive attitude, team focus, sharing knowledge and improve the current procedures.


Responsibilities

  • Technology
  • Monitors ETL & Data ingestion ecosystem's batch jobs and OS system logs and activities on servers
  • Reviews and audits execution logs and statistics and escalates issues appropriately
  • Optimize and adjust job batch schedule(s) and support periodic maintenance windows
  • Debug and reconciliation of the data
  • Analyze and clarify user queries of data updates based
  • Manage and coordinate data sources account required for various data integration jobs
  • Monitors data integration processes for performance
  • Monitors data integration components to ensure appropriate storage and capacity for daily volumes
  • Follows predefined processes and procedures for addressing and escalating issues.
  • Collaborates with other departments (i.e., System Administrator) to identify and resolve issues.
  • Analyze & resolve incidents received and provide L1 and L2 support, assign to L3 team or coordinate with stakeholders
  • Business
  • Perform change management, incident management activities
  • Engage with the business segments and internal stakeholders to communicate issue/outage updates
  • Work closely with analysts, designers and SMEs
  • External Presence
  • Engage with the external technical and business community to brand and differentiate PLM implementation in Schlumberger,
  • Participate in technical forums and other appropriate events.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Essential qualifications_
  • Has experience in the operations environment
  • Possesses general knowledge in client/server computing environment technologies.
  • Understands server operating systems.
  • Strong problemsolving skills
  • Administrator experience in relevant operating systems is desirable.
  • Production supervisory experience
  • Excellent organizational and followup skills
  • Bachelor1s degree in Computer Science or related field
  • Understanding of supporting operations support using Unix, Informatica IDQ, Hadoop Sqoop, Apache
  • Rundeck scheduler, Oracle Database
  • Strong Oracle SQL, PL/SQL and Unix skills
  • Data file handling using Unix scripts is a MUST
  • Knowledge in Informatica IICS, Azure Data Factory and Cloud Databases ( CloudSQL) is MUST.
  • Azure DEV/OPS CICD handson experience and scripting
  • Exposure in practices of CICD Deployments
  • Experience working with incident management tool
  • Remedy, ESM-ServiceNow
  • Basic exposure of working on Google Cloud / Azure Cloud is a plus
  • Excellent communication, verbal and written skill
  • Other skills and abilities_
  • ITIL Certification (specially for Incident Management and Problem Management).
  • Good to have experience of supporting Informatica, Cloud eco systems
