BUSINESS OVERVIEW:


NAM Trade Services is a key unit within the Global Trade Operations, with servicing responsibilities for a group of several trade products (documentary LC, and Standby LC families), supporting several Citigroup businesses.

Global Trade Operation offers world-class trade services in over 70 markets around the globe. The Organization provides our corporate and FI clients with transaction preparation, processing and customer service. In striving to achieve high quality delivery the organization works closely with business partners and internal servicers. A significant focus on control, customer service and quality is practiced at the transaction and process levels.


ROLE MAIN PURPOSE:


The main Purpose of the TTS Operations Support Manager (Team Lead) is to drive the execution and the day to day functions and activities of all Trade Service, Finance, Channel, and Local Currency loans in the Colombia Trade CSC.

Will support the regional business strategy in leading, analyzing, implementing and managing the interactions with the Regional OPS Managers and regional Product in order to deliver valuable solutions to clients while maximizing client experience.

Also, this professional will be focused on the management and implementation of Risk/Control/Service and Governance strategies across the CSC and will be 100% accountable for the Trade Client Operations day to day activities and Controls.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Superviser and Monitoring transactions in adherence with service level agreements
  • Supervise Trade NAM / LatAm Operations Unit
  • Allocate other analysts to Projects, Metrics, Improvements, and reporting/reconciliation initiatives.
  • Manage daily workload of teams and ensure all team members are working to maximum efficiency.
  • Work closely with the technology organization to determine product/process feasibility.
  • Analyze, document and make recommendations for any enhancements to achieve operational efficiency.
  • Staff and organize the unit under control to provide maximum productivity
  • Leverage on technical knowledge from teams in order to deliver quality service and achieve operating efficiency
  • Perform within departmental procedures and compliance standards in order to minimize losses to the Firm.
  • Provide scorecards for the team members.
  • Maintain awareness of product, policy and system enhancements changes.
  • Participates in system and client testing, implementation and trainings if needed.
  • Increased customer satisfaction (both internal and external).
  • Reduced errors and increased operating effectiveness.
  • Strong partnerships developed with our Branch Operations, Product Partners, as well all CSCs globally

  • Responsible for training new hires and staff; provide feedback and coaching to the team.
  • Provides manager with feedback for performance reviews and participate in appraisals discussions
  • Manage escalations and Provides evaluative judgment based on analysis of factual information in complicated and unique situations.
  • Provide checker role for transactional processing support for respective Letter of Credit Products in compliance with international standards and UCP600, ISP98 & ISBP
  • Examine document as checker under letters of credit to determine compliance with international standards and UCP600, ISP98 & ISBP
  • Monitor transactions in adherence with service level agreements
  • Review documents for internal consistency and compliance with governmental documentary regulations and import/export restrictions.
  • Report Discrepancies and attend incoming refusals.

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:


  • Fluent in English is a must.
  • 5 to 8 years' experience in relevant field with at least 3 year on Trade Services Operations experience.
  • Certified Documentary Credit Specialist (CDCS) is a plus.
