Summary / purpose of the position
Development and management of initiatives in the field of public affairs, advocacy, Corporate Social Responsibility, access strategy, and communication aimed to: sustain and improve the Company's image, improve management of Ipsen's therapeutic areas, the sustainable evolution of the law


Main responsibilities / job expectations

Public Affairs:Build opportunities for dialogue on NHS with interlocutors and advocate for the sustainable evolution of the law in a transparent and ethical fashion.

Therapeutic Area advocacy and Corporate Social Responsibility:Develop partnerships with patients' advocacy groups and users of the NHS to improve the management of therapeutic areas in which Ipsen has particular expertise and know-how.

Communication:Implement an integrated internal and external communication plan to showcase Ipsen and the therapeutic solutions it provides to the NHS.

IA&C Excellence:Develop ONE VOICE approach through the exchange of best practices and the coordination of Ipsen representation in e.g. Trade Associations

Develop access strategy in high-value accounts (Private National, Institutional Level)

  • Plan, develop, and implement a strategy aligned for access to Health Authority requirements, in order to ensure that the company achieves strategic business objectives and financial goals.
  • Strategic thinking, understanding payers, health authorities, and KOL needs, identifying issues and opportunities, developing targeted multifaceted solutions, finding ways to operate differently by focusing on highadded value tasks
  • Build relevant, solid value arguments to lead in payer and targeted highvalue account visits.

Execute access strategy

  • Actively lead/engage in negotiations of product listing/ funding approvals within targeted highvalue accounts. Drive key tactics and adhere to commercial pricing policy to maximize net price and revenue balancing short
- and long-term perspective

  • Maintain a rigorous visitation schedule with payers (HMOS) and health secretaries to ensure access to the company portfolio.
  • Deliver market access product value propositions, programs, and market responses to better position and influence favorable access and patient persistency; achieve costeffective, efficient delivery of products and services to payers, providers, and patients.

Stakeholder Engagement and Influence

  • Develop sustainable and responsible relationships with public and private payers, mapping and keeping the panel of decisionmakers and processes up to date.
  • Fully understand and stay abreast of the complex and everchanging payer and channel landscape; assess challenges and impact on Ipsen current and future products.
  • Analyze each therapeutic category situation in terms of coverage and reimbursement of Ipsen products, existing and emerging payer policies, competitive landscape and trends, pricing and contracting strategies/tradeoffs, potential barriers to provider and patient access, and opportunities to influence improved outcomes.

Build public market access expertise

  • Effectively interface with Federal, State, Regional, and Local Government entities (health secretaries, CONASS, CONASEMS) to represent Ipsen Brasil interests, appropriately influence Federal and State legislation and/or agency rulemaking in alignment with Ipsen Brasil interests, appropriately influence optimal coverage, coding, and payment policies for Ipsen Brasil portfolio
  • Monitor public MoH contracts ensuring DRS and reference centers are receiving and/or requesting products on time to avoid stockouts.

Be a true business partner

  • Ensure crossfunctional cooperation regarding all questions about Health Economics, value propositions, and reimbursement, including field visits.

Ethics & Compliance

  • Ensure market access plans developed, implemented, and effectively administered are consistent with Ipsen's corporate guidance and all regulatory, legal, and ethical SOPs

Knowledge, abilities & experience

Education / Certifications:

  • University degree, ideally in Business Administration, Economics, healthcarerelated disciplines, or others, supplemented by relevant work experience.
  • Postgraduate degrees, relevant to this area of work, are highly desirable.

Experience:


  • Proven track record of working with pharmaceutical specialized products.
  • Experience in managing strategic accounts and knowledge of specialty care markets with complex science and reimbursement.
  • Experience working within an environment of strict compliance to all appropriate regulatory guidelines to successfully design and execute tactics, programs, and tools that achieve business objectives.
  • Successful experience in the launch of new products
  • Specialty care, oncology/neuroscience/rare disease knowledge, and experience in a pharmaceutical
