Responsibilities:


  • Perform daytoday financial operations and accounting tasks such as accounts receivable, accounts payable, and general ledger entries.
  • Prepare and review financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements ensuring accuracy, completeness, and adherence to local accounting standards.
  • Conduct regular audits to identify and rectify any discrepancies or inconsistencies.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends and changes in accounting standards to maintain best practices within the organization.
  • Ensure compliance with local tax regulations and oversee the timely filing of tax returns.
  • Manage endtoend payroll processes accurately and efficiently, including calculating salary wages, deductions, tax withholdings, and benefits.
  • Ensure compliance with local payroll regulations and tax requirements.
  • Administer employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and vacation tracking.
  • Assist in handling employee onboarding and offboarding processes, including new hire paperwork and exit interviews.
  • Maintain personnel records, update employee files, and ensure compliance with relevant labor laws and regulations.
  • Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities.
  • Assist in developing and implementing HR policies and procedures.
  • Provide support for employee relations, performance management, and disciplinary actions.
  • Collaborate with management to address and respond promptly to accounting inquiries and resolve any issues with HR and payrollrelated inquiries with utmost professionalism.

Requirements:


  • A minimum of 5 years of experience as an accountant, with a proven track record of success in a similar role.
  • Full certification and licensure as an accountant in Medellin, Colombia.
  • Familiarity with HR processes, including employee onboarding, benefits administration, and compliance.
  • Indepth knowledge of local accounting regulations, tax laws, relevant labor laws, and financial reporting standards.
  • Proficiency in financial software and tools, including CRM systems and advanced MS Excel skills.
  • Extremely proficient in payroll processing and associated software.
  • Strong analytical and problemsolving abilities, with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Proactive mindset with the ability to work independently and as part of a team, prioritizing tasks to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
  • Fluent in English.

Pay:
$4,000,000 - $7,000,000 per month
