Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organization:
Lead the process excellence in Latin America for indirect tax.

Overseeing the controls and analytics, from indirect tax perspective, and the correct and complete implementation and maintenance of the adidas tax relevant SAP and other systems in Latin America.

Key Responsibilities:
Driving the correct and complete implementation and maintenance of the adidas tax relevant SAP and other systems in Latin America (including einvoice and ereporting solutions)
Overlooking the controls and analytics, from indirect tax perspective, and ensure the tax filing system to be up to date.
Build capabilities and process to ensure implementation and execution of tax controls and analytics
Ensure the follow up on findings (e.g. analytics, KPI's, etc.) and prevent reoccurrence by introducing mitigating actions
Responsibility for audits and ensuring the preparation of requested electronic data files is correct
Continually improve and ensure up to date documentation of supply chains, VAT treatments and the corresponding system handling
Lead the implementation of VAT settings in Latin America in all relevant systems
Drive the system updates according to the strategies and policies in place
Taking ownership for filing system updates according to business requirement needs and in line with the registrations in the respective jurisdictions by setting concrete guidelines to the compliance teams in the GBS centers
Leading the clarification of major compliance exceptions and up to date documentation of issues and resolutions

Requisite Skills/Education:
University degree or equivalent
Detailed knowledge of Latin America indirect tax and practices.
At least 5 years practical experience gained in the VAT department or VAT System maintenance of an international industrial company or consultancy firm.
Ability to analyze and interpret complex business situations and propose potential solutions.
Ability to work independently.
Excellent knowledge of SAP.
PC skills and English language
Minimum of 2 years of managerial experience
Experience in managing projects within the international scope
Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills
