The Team Lead, Collections will work with high volume customers and offices to resolve complex issues and collect on escalated aging invoices.
What You'll Bring:
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, finance, accounting or related fields.
- A minimum of 5+ years of handson collections experience dealing with B2B customers.
- Fluency in English (C1 written and oral). Spanish is a plus.
- Manage a team of Senior Collectors and perform all managerial duties and provide support, feedback, and guidance concerning daily operations and collection activity.
- Coordinates collection efforts of existing field staff.
- Strong customer focused attitude and mentality.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, experience with PeopleSoft strongly preferred.
- Strong verbal and written communications skills; attention to detail and strong documentation skills.
- Ability to effectively manage multiple conflicting priorities, meet strict deadlines, take verbal direction, and perform with mínimal guidance or supervision.
- A strong work ethic, ability to work efficiently and with a sense of urgency.
- Ability to prioritize tasks that are assigned.
- Ability to accept and work with ongoing change in policies, procedure and technology thus bringing about increased profitability and success.
- Utilize more advanced skills and expertise in a range of processes, procedures, systems to recover aging invoices.
- Analyzes data to identify and solve complex problems.
- This is a remote position which may require occasional inperson attendance at workrelated events at the discretion of management.
Impact You'll Make:
- The Team Lead, Collections is responsible for overseeing the teams communication, information exchange and relationship building required to collect the billings due within the specified contractual terms.
- Establishes, reviews, and updates collection processes and operating procedures.
- Proactively contact clients with overdue receivables to coordinate collection plans.
- Make regularly scheduled collection calls, ensuring that all key areas in a collection call are discussed and documented in the host system.
- Supports upper management regarding any customer issues in relation to overdue funds or other issues preventing or delaying payment.
- Liaise with the sales team to coordinate collection efforts.
- Create a close working relationship with your counter parts within your department and the overall company.
- Provides coaching and support to less experienced team members.
- Perform any other duties as assigned.
