Role:
Adjunct Instructor and Interpretation Programs Trainer II (Spanish<>English)


Responsibilities:


  • Delivery of Interpretation 4064 Hour Certificate Programs at Prisma International Corporation including but not limited to:
  • Cross Cultural Health Care Program CCHCP Bridging the Gap (BTG ) nationwide onsite.
  • National Institute for Coordinated Health Care NICHC Core Interpreter nationwide online.
  • Cross Cultural Communications Programs: The Medical Interpreter (TMI ) and The Community Interpreter International (TCII ) nationwide online and onsite nationwide and internationally
  • Onsite and online CEUs
  • Continuing Education Units for all programs
  • Maintains or exceeds productivity expectations set forth by the Language Access Senior Leadership Team.
  • Adheres to the NCIHC (National Council of Interpreters in Health Care) Code of Ethics.
  • Maintains effective communication with all service line designated representatives for issues related to interpreter training services.
  • Maintains policies and procedures related to interpreter training services.
  • Follows Prisma International Corporation Independent Contractor Standards of Behavior.
  • Acquires and maintains valid licenses including but not limited to: CCHI (CHI), NBCMI (CMI), State Court Interpreting or Federal Court Interpretation credentials.

Essential Job Qualifications and Qualifications
(Knowledge, Education, Training and Other Requirements):

  • U.S. Citizenship or Permanent Residence or Foreign citizenship and proof of eligibility for U.S. employment. Sponsorships may be available after a 5-year period providing services for our company abroad.
  • Must have reliable transportation, valid U.S. stateissued picture ID/Driver's License, _if located_in the United States.
  • Must have reliable highspeed internet, equipment, a good electric power source, and a smartphone to perform the duties of the job when working remotely, hybrid.
  • Must hold a valid passport for international assignments (Any nation), but U.S. preferred.
  • Possesses an ability to interpret technically between medical professionals and patients/families, legal and court, government and law enforcement, business (with a focused on Hospitality, Tourism, and Retail), and engineering in the languages of English and Spanish.
  • Must have living and working abroad experience (10 years in a country where Spanish is the native language).
  • Must have an ability to obtain or holds already a certificate from Cross Cultural Health Care Program or Bridging the Gap BTG Training (required) or Cross-Cultural Communications
  • The Medical Interpreter TMI (preferred) or Cross Cultural Communications
  • The Community Interpreter International TCII (preferred).
  • Must have an ability to obtain or holds already a CHI or CMI credential (preferred), Court Certified (preferred) or CoreCHI or CMI-Hub by CCHI (Certification Commission for Healthcare Interpreters) for the Spanish Language or holds a current certification from NBCMI (National Board of Certification for Medical Interpreters) for the Spanish Language.
  • U.S. Associate of Arts or Associate of Science or a 34year Foreign Technical Degree in Translation, Interpretation with a focus on Tourism, Hotel Management, or Hospitality.
  • Business, Healthcare, and/or Retail or Manufacturing Operations related field experience
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in both professional and language services (interpreter services, translation services, training in educational settings for children to adult learners).
  • Minimum two years of work experience in healthcare, community interpreting, or education.
  • Social media marketing experience (LinkedIn, Twitter, and Facebook).
  • Ability to work independently at a high level of efficiency.
  • Must be detail oriented. Previous administrative experience coordinating and handling multiple functions (preferred).
  • Must be highly organized to handle multiple tasks at the same time.
  • Outstanding written and oral communication skills. Ability to problemsolve in a professional manner.
  • Maintain the highest standards of honesty, integrity, and communication.
  • Effective communication and listening skills; available and visible.
  • Active involvement in ongoing personal skill development.
  • Ability to engage in an exclusive noncompete perpetual agreement for the programs listed above and any other of the Interpreter Training programs licensed to Prisma International Corporation prior to becoming an associate to Prisma International Corporation including but not limited to (Full time Employee, Part time Employee, Contractors and Freelancers, Volunteer, etc.), as the company will sponsor your TOT classes, accommodation, travel, and expenses.
