We are seeking a creative and dynamic Film Director to join our team, working closely with a new and emerging music artist. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ideating, developing, and overseeing the execution and production of music videos and visualizers. This role requires a blend of artistic vision, technical expertise, and excellent collaboration skills to create compelling and memorable visual experiences that resonate with audiences and elevate the artist's brand

Responsibilities

Creative Development and Ideation

• Lead the development of creative concepts for music videos and visualizers, ensuring alignment with the artist's vision and brand identity.
• Collaborate closely with the artist and production team to develop storyboards, scripts, and visual treatments that are innovative and engaging.
• Stay abreast of current trends in music video production, visual effects, and storytelling to bring fresh and original ideas to each project
  

Production Oversight and Direction

• Direct the production of music videos, overseeing all aspects of filming, including casting, location scouting, set design, and scheduling.
• Work closely with the director of photography, choreographers, and other key personnel to ensure the visual narrative is compelling and artistically sound.
• Manage the post-production process, including editing, color grading, and adding visual effects, to ensure the final product is of the highest quality and meets project deadlines
  

Artist Collaboration and Relationship Management

• Build and maintain a strong working relationship with the artist, understanding their creative goals and helping to translate these into impactful visual narratives.
• Coordinate with the artist's management and record label to ensure alignment on project objectives, budget, and timelines.
• Provide guidance and feedback to the artist and other stakeholders throughout the production process to ensure a cohesive and successful project outcome
  

Requirements

Technical Skills

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in directing music videos or related visual media.
• Proficiency in video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro) and understanding of post-production processes.
• Knowledge of cinematography, lighting, and sound design principles.
• Familiarity with the latest trends in music video production and visual effects
