Job Description

Our Testers work with project teams to ensure software quality through systematic test planning, execution, and defect tracking. They maintain high standards of product excellence and user satisfaction by ensuring functionality, performance, and reliability of applications before deployment.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop comprehensive test automation strategies, craft robust test automation frameworks at scale, enhance the overall user experience, and serve as a subject matter expert on quality assurance and testing best practices.
• Review and analyse software requirements, specifications, and technical designs to gain a comprehensive understanding of the application under test.
• Create comprehensive and well-structured test plans, test cases, and test scripts aligned with project requirements and functional specifications.
• Define the test automation strategy and approach, including framework capabilities, tool comparison, standard metrics, success, and start/stop criteria.
• Lead the development and implementation of test automation frameworks and scripts.
• Execute automated and manual testing activities, encompassing functional, regression, system, and usability testing, to validate the software's functionality, performance, and user experience.
• Participate in requirement and design reviews to provide early feedback on potential quality risks and contribute to the overall software development process.
• Provide timely and accurate status updates on testing progress, test coverage, and test results to the project team and stakeholders.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to facilitate knowledge sharing and continuous improvement of testing processes and methodologies.
• Provide mentorship and professional development on testing for less experienced engineers internally and client-side.
• Serve as a subject matter expert on quality assurance, providing education on testing best practices to our wider Delivery Unit and key clients.

Qualifications

• +5 years of experience
• Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
• Experience in Automated testing, Web Services/API testing (REST API), and scripting languages based on OOP.
• Solid understanding of OOP principles, SDLC, and testing methodologies.
• Experience in creating comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts, developing test automation frameworks from scratch, and leading execution.
• Expertise in executing automated and manual test cases, accurately documenting test results, and familiarity with bug tracking systems.
• Familiarity with Azure/AWS DevOps pipelines to set up automated builds and enable CI/CD.
• Language agnostic and comfortable with various scripting languages and domains.
• Desirable: ISTQB Certification or other relevant certifications.
