About this role


SLB has an opening in Colombia, Bogota for a DevOps Engineer, who will be responsible for working with SLB stakeholders to manage and deploy new features on GCP and Azure infrastructure using Azure DevOps and supporting Enterprise Data Platform Technologies.

  • Act as a key role in performing automation of features in Cloud Technologies (Google Cloud + Azure must have) to support platform administration, security and other deployment tasks
  • Sound understanding of Change management and release using Azure DevOps, CICD technologies
  • Participate with Big Data and Cloud Technologies projects which require IaaS and PaaS creation, configuration management and administration setup with security
  • Engage with the SLB Cloud team to get alignment in terms of technologies and approaches and identify and leverage synergies
  • Coordinate platform maintenance tasks with SLB stakeholders
  • Work with SLB teams with user account management and assign appropriate privileges
  • Follows and contributes to the technical governance (standards, best practices, etc.)
  • Build automation using Terraform, Salt stack/Ansible/Chef & Puppet, Python and Azure DevOps to meet needs of configuration changes, user management and feature addition across multiple databases in cloud
  • Business
  • Work closely with Technologies Architects, Cloud Administrators, Change Management Team and Developers in ETL, BI, and Analytics teams, Cloud Operations team on delivering quality service
  • Maintain good documentation and report issues/risks accordingly
  • Participate in regular internal meetings with SLB stakeholders

  • Engage with the external technical and business community to brand and differentiate PLM implementation in SLB
  • Participate in technical forums and other appropriate events.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Essential qualifications_
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field
  • Less than a year of experience implementation experience with Google Cloud + Azure integration with Microsoft Active Directory and LDAP authentication
  • Good understanding of ITIL v4 Foundation
  • Excellent communication, verbal and written skills
  • Other skills and abilities_
  • 0 to 1 year of handson experience on Google IaaS and PaaS technologies installation, configuration, security configuration and access controls in Google Cloud + Azure using Automation technologies
  • Hands on experience in Cloud automation techniques and tools like azure DevOps, Terraform, Python, SaltStack and programming using PowerShell, Unix Scripts
  • Knowledge of Azure Data Factory ETL
  • Knowledge in scripting in Linux environment using Python and cloud technologies
  • Knowledge of Agile development methodologies
  • Strong Service Delivery attitude
  • Ability to work in global distributed setting without supervision
  • Selfdriven, Proactive, Systems Thinking, Multitasking
