    **Job Title:** Factory Manager

    As a key member of the senior management team at Comestibles Aldor, you will oversee all aspects of our production facility in Johannesburg, South Africa. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure effective and efficient operations, meeting quality standards and managing resources.

    Key Responsibilities:

    1. Production Planning and Scheduling: Develop and manage production schedules, allocate resources, and ensure timely achievement of goals.
    2. Staff Supervision and Management: Hire, train, evaluate performance, and manage the factory workforce.
    3. Quality Control: Implement and maintain international quality standards, ensure product specifications are met, and conduct inspections.
    4. Equipment Maintenance: Oversee maintenance, conduct inspections, and ensure safety.
    5. Safety and Compliance: Ensure adherence to health and safety regulations and maintain a safe work environment.
    6. Cost Management: Manage budgets, implement cost-effective strategies, and reduce waste, fostering continuous improvement.
    7. Reporting and Analysis: Prepare reports, analyze data, and identify improvement areas.
    8. Collaboration and Communication: Work with departments, suppliers, and customers to ensure smooth operations and meet demands. Implement continuous improvement initiatives.
    9. Problem-Solving: Identify and resolve issues within the factory.

    Required Skills and Capabilities:

    • Quality control: Ability to design, adhere to, measure, and promote a quality mindset across the organization, with deep understanding of international quality systems.
    • Safety: Ensure a safe, productive environment, compliance with regulations, and adherence to SOPs.
    • Data analysis: Monitor production metrics like throughput, yield, OEE, cost per unit, and productivity indicators.
    • Inventory management: Track raw materials, packaging, WIP, and finished goods metrics aligned with plans.
    • Team leadership: Demonstrate effective leadership, especially in multicultural settings, to improve performance and engagement.
    • Effective communication: Communicate clearly across all levels, demonstrating empathy and emotional maturity.

    Qualifications:

    • Degree or Diploma in Production, Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, or related fields.

    Experience:

    Minimum 5 years in management roles within manufacturing, ideally in food, cosmetics, or automotive industries, focusing on production management, quality control, maintenance, and continuous improvement.
