    The Integrated Airborne Solutions (IAS) within the Airborne Systems Business Area of Leidos currently has an opening for an OCONUS Logistician supporting the Development, Integration, Acquisition, Bridging to Logistics & Operations (DIABLO) program. The selected candidate will be responsible for providing logistics support for Airborne ISR sensor systems and their peripherals at Apiay Air Base, Colombia. This position would be responsible for communicating with local and off-site internationally dispersed team members to coordinate a logistics response to emerging requirements.

    THE CHALLENGE (primary responsibilities)

  • Warehouse operations, shipping and receiving, and inventory control.
  • Packaging, handling, storage, and transportation (PHS&T); and Government Furnished Property management and reporting.
  • Organize the site, labeling containers, barcoding equipment, and locations, setting up the site for use of automated equipment scanning tools for inventory management.
  • Responsible for supply purchase requests at Apiay, receipt, distribution/issuance, and disposition of excess property documenting all transactions in the logistics database.
  • Initiate purchase requests for supplies and services needed on site.
  • Obtain material handling equipment (MHE) required for load/offload and operate MHE (forklifts and pallet jacks) to load/offload trucks as required or coordinate with TMO for MHE and driver.
  • Monitor inventory levels for known re-supply items and requisition supply and spares necessary for site operations when shortage is identified.
  • Inventory Management at the site performing 10% site inventories monthly.
  • Sensitive Items inventories monthly.
  • Maintain HAZMAT locker, shelf-life items, and calibration program by clearing expired hazardous materials, ensure all products within have an associated MSDS and are labeled appropriately with shelf life and placarding, and sending calibrated items out for calibration.
  • Ensure accurate logistics reports in support of customer contract deliverables (CRDLs).
  • Support Depot Repair Coordination by initiating depot repair or core exchanges work orders and working with the Maintenance manager to get approvals before shipping to depot.
  • Inventory control; demand planning; sparing and forecasting; repairable management; packaging, handling, storage, and transportation (PHS&T) including import/export; and Government Furnished Property management and reporting.
  • Serve as the primary accountable local representative for ensuring shipments of all program assets are done lawfully and in compliance with all international trade and HAZMAT regulations.
  • Update government and corporate property hand-receipts with asset location changes as required.
  • Use varied approaches to resolve or collaborate on project or program issues.
  • Work independently, often under high-pressure situations and with minimal direct supervision, too creatively problem-solve and quickly develop complex solutions for logistics problems to facilitate quick resolution.
  • Facilitate cooperative interactions with site management team's intra-theatre.
  • Continuous interaction, communication and reporting to the Program Support Manager.
  • WHAT SETS YOU APART (basic qualifications)

  • Bachelor's degree with minimum of two (2) years of relevant experience; additional relevant experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
  • Knowledge and experience planning and coordinating commercial and military air, ground, and sea transportation.
  • Ability to integrate the separate functions in planning or implementing an overall program logistics management program.
  • Knowledge of logistics systems, methods, and facilities management procedures.
  • Ability to apply information technology solutions to improve or facilitate the programs overall operation.
  • Knowledge of the principles, methods, and techniques of project planning, management, monitoring, and evaluation.
  • Knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) guidelines to managing Government property.
  • Recommend and asses procedural changes to improve the overall program accountability process.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications, including (but not limited to) Office, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, and Outlook.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of staff, internal to Leidos and external (military/government customer), written and oral.
  • Must be a US Citizen with a current US Passport and able to obtain visas to travel internationally.
  • Must be able to complete all Conus Replacement Center (CRC) requirements.
  • Be willing to travel for long periods of time, work long hours and / or non-regular hours with minimal notice in high-risk environments.
  • Must have an active SECRET security clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI clearance.
  • Ability to operate forklift to load/offload trucks and pallet racks
  • Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor Degree and Four (4) years of relevant experience.
  • Active TS clearance.
  • Prior experience and demonstrated proficiency supporting airborne ISR program.
  • Prior experience working within SOUTHCOM for the DoD.

    Pay Range:

    Pay Range $49, $89,300.00

    The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
