Job Summary:


Principal processes to oversee:


  • Taxation reports and declaration
  • Audit control
  • Accounting (Payable and recivable)
  • Payroll (Theoretical knowledge)

Responsibilities:


  • Manage the preparation and filing of all required tax returns in compliance with the Colombian tax laws and regulations
  • Oversee the preparation of financial statements and reports for the Colombian market
  • Conduct regular reviews of financial data to ensure compliance with Colombian accounting standards
  • Maintain accurate and uptodate records of all accounting transactions and activities
  • Provide guidance and support to other stakeholders of the accounting process
  • Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to ensure timely and accurate reporting of financial data
  • Stay uptodate with changes in Colombia tax and accounting regulations and ensure compliance with all new laws and regulations
  • Support internal and external audits by providing relevant financial data and information
  • Prepare and enter accounting entries into accounting software
  • Maintain and update company chart of accounts
  • Maintain fixed assets register
  • Provide recommendations to the management team to improve accounting data workflow
  • Manage all accounts payable and accounts receivable processes

Requirements:


  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
  • CPA or equivalent certification preferred
  • 4 to 5 years of experience in taxation and accounting for Colombia
  • Deep knowledge of Colombian tax laws and regulations
  • Strong understanding of Colombian accounting principles and practices
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Detailoriented and able to work independently
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
  • Experience with local accounting software
  • Fluency in English is required (B2+ or C1 level)

Pay:
$3,500,000 - $4,500,000 per month


Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Bogotá, Distrito Capital, Cundinamarca: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)

Language:


  • English B2+ or C1 level (required)
