About the Job


The Accounting Analyst is responsible for analyzing the financial transactions from the COL GAAP accounting point of view, and processes transactions in the corporate ERP to guarantee reasonable local financial statements.


As Accounting Analyst, You Will

  • Prepare local financial statements under local IFRS
  • Manage fixed assets (additions, retirement, depreciation) under local GAAP
  • Post payroll JE, along with accruals, amortizations and reserves in accordance with local GAAPS
  • Support requirements from local tax outsourcing team including tax work papers to support returns
  • Prepare local reports required by national/governmental entities ie: DIAN, Commerce Superintendence, Society Superintendence
  • Support and define ebilling processes in agreement with national tax authority guidelines
  • Support the Accounting Coordinator on setting proper controls, and define responsibilities for posting/approval process
  • Assess documentation from vendors and define proper applicable taxes prior to posting
  • Prepare supporting documentation and post payments to vendors for local purposes
  • Support/prepare local financial statements and notes

Requirements:


As Accounting Analyst, You Have

  • Postsecondary degree in Finance/Accountancy or equivalent
  • Minimum 2 years experience in an Accounting role
  • IFRS and Colombian GAAP
  • Strong communication (written/verbal), problemsolving, and analytical thinking skills
  • Superior attention to detail with an eye for accuracy
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to work independently or in a team environment with mínimal supervision
  • Knowledge of industry standards and regulations, including tax laws and regulations
  • Advanced computer skills in MS Word and Excel
  • Possess exceptional prioritization skills to complete work in a timely manner
  • Experience in accounting procedures and cycle
