Job Summary:

The HR Shared Services Specialist role is a customer-facing position located within the HR shared services center and is responsible for handling employee inquiries and entering transactions into the HRIS system in a timely and accurate manner and acts as a steward of the existing data.

This position partners closely with all levels of Zimmer Biomet, processing inbound inquiries and transaction requests in compliance with Zimmer Biomet's policies, procedures, and applicable local regulations.

This role requires understanding, internalizing, and embracing new concepts and change.

The incumbent must possess strong customer service skills, a comfort level with technology, basic problem-solving skills, and general business knowledge.


Principal Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Escalate complex transactions for resolution or contact thirdparty vendors as appropriate.
  • Review incoming confidential inquiries and requests from internal and external parties, ensuring all required information is accurate and complete to enter into the HRIS system.
  • Process HR system low complex transactions i.e, Organizational Management.
  • Use multiple systems simultaneously to research and resolve confidential inquiries or transaction requests.
  • Empower customers to use selfservice options, systems, products, services, etc.
  • Maintain employee personnel files (i.e. New Hire I9s, Non-Compete Agreements) for entire employee life cycle
  • Provide documentation to support legal and audit requests, such as employee file records, hiring process information, system data, job or pay history, etc.
  • Communicate with requestors on status of requests while following up with parties to complete requests.
  • May assist on HR Shared Services projects and perform other related duties as assigned.

Business Knowledge

  • Basic understanding of general business functions and the relationship of inquiries received and the downstream impacts of HR Shared Services to understand and prevent errors/rework

Education/Experience Requirements:
-3+ years of customer service experience required, HR-specific experience preferred.

  • Associates Degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, or Technology preferred
  • System experience with HRIS systems such as Success Factors, SAP, or Workday required, SAP preferred.
  • Experience with CRM technology such as Service Now, People Doc or Salesforce.
  • Demonstrates customer orientation and excellent customer service skills.
  • MS Office Suite knowledge.
  • Portugues required.
