The Value and Evidence Partnership Lead is a field-based HEOR role responsible for educating and engaging with payers on economic value and evidence questions related to Pfizer's assets, with a particular focus on pipeline assets, in alignment with local laws and regulations.


The V&E partnership lead will be expected to:

  • Develop and maintain relationships with populationhealth decision makers within key strategic payers through scientific communication of the evidencebased value proposition of Pfizer's assets
  • Engage key public and private payers, partnering closely with medical and account management teams as appropriate, to educate and inform them about economic value and evidence questions related to Pfizer assets and pipeline
  • Help payers understand the burden of disease and economic impact that future incorporation of Pfizer assets may have on their specific patient population, enabling them to optimally plan for the timely inclusion of assets at launch
  • Understand payer concerns and uncertainties regarding the health economic value proposition of Pfizer assets, and communicate those insights to in country and above country HEOR and Access teams
  • Partner with payers on identifying potential research strategies to address payer concerns or uncertainties regarding the evidence base supporting the health economic value proposition of Pfizer assets, including RWE studies (claims data analyses, studies in early access populations), adaptation of evidence from other markets/contexts to local patient population, etc., in close collaboration with Medical and HEOR teams
  • Partner with Medical to explore the potential for structured preapproval early access in defined patient populations (where permitted by local law and regulations) as a means of addressing patient unmet need as well as potential evidence gaps
  • Oversee the execution of HEOR partnership projects with payers as these are identified

Key Accountabilities:
The Value and Evidence Partnership Lead will be accountable for:

  • Ensuring that compliant processes are followed at all times including in engagements with payers, and adhering rigorously to the appropriate SOPs for interactions and management of non-promotional materials (including all locally applicable legal and compliance requirements)
  • Ensuring strong and structured collaboration and engagement planning with local Medical and HEOR teams, and Health Access Specialists/Account Managers as needed to ensure continuity of communications with payers
  • Ensuring strategically prioritized public and/or private payers are well informed and educated on economic value and evidence related to Pfizer's assets and pipeline, and that they understand and can plan for the impact of incorporation of Pfizer assets in their formularies
  • Proactively generating proposals to address payer concerns regarding the evidence base to support timely inclusion of Pfizer assets, and/or manage anticipated budget impact challenges, in partnership with relevant Medical, HEOR and Access colleagues
  • Communicating payer feedback regarding value proposition of Pfizer assets to relevant internal teams, notably local and global HEOR and Access teams, and coordinating appropriate plans to respond to feedback
  • Acting as liaison/single point of contact for any involvement of representatives of payer organizations in local or global advisory boards or research related to Pfizer pipeline assets
  • Rigorous follow up and execution of partnerships with and/or commitments to payers in support of timely inclusion of Pfizer assets

Qualifications:

Must-Have

  • Bachelor's Degree or above in Medicine, Pharmacology, Health Economics or Public Health
  • At least 10 years' experience in the pharma/healthcare industry/ecosystem
- +5 years of demonstrated experience in Health Economics and Outcome Research (HEOR) and relevant related fields

  • Previous experience in external/payerfacing roles an advantage
  • High learning agility to catch up broad disease knowledge among Pfizer products and evolving Health Technology Assessment (HTA) related regulation and policy
  • Strong process/project management skills
  • Excellent analytical skills and ability to draw insights
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
