This temporary position will support the company business needs within HR competencies while reaching employment goals. It will be office based in Edwards Lifesciences office in Bogotá, Colombia.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Perform front line HR duties for the assigned country(ies), mainly Colombia, including performing complex investigation, handling nonroutine employee issues, performing complex compensation analysis, interpreting and advising management
  • Assess HR issues that require considerable judgment and risk management where EW policies and practices do not exist
  • Prepare talent development review (TDR) materials, facilitate TDR meetings, and train new managers on process
  • Design and administer more complex proactive programs, procedures and plans as it relates to driving employee engagement and employee relations, change management, talent development
  • On boarding and orientation process for new employees
  • Preparation of payroll documentation, communication with external payroll provider
  • Administration and implementation of internal policies in compliance with corporate requirements and legal/social/economic restrictions of the country and local labor market
  • Data Management proper use of all HR systems, ensure compliance, maintain data uptodate
  • Investigate complex employee complaints in partnership with the legal department and recommend solutions to resolve complaint
  • Other incidental duties as assigned

Education and Experience:

HR Diploma and 4 years of previous related Human Resources experience, including employee relations or Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or related field and 4 years of experience previous related Human Resources experience, including employee relations is required


Additional Skills:


  • Proven expertise in usage of MS Office Suite and HR systems
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and interpersonal skills including consultative and relationship management skills with ability to drive achievement of objectives
  • Strong leadership skills with demonstrated ability to influence change and demonstrated conflict resolution skills
  • Excellent presentation and facilitation skills
  • Able to read, comprehend, write, and speak English
  • Extensive knowledge and understanding of HR functional areas including: Talent Acquisition, Compensation, Benefits, Payroll, Leadership Development and Organizational Development
  • Extensive knowledge and understanding of applicable federal and state employment laws and compliance implications
  • Substantial problemsolving, organizational, analytical and critical thinking skills
  • Ability to build and maintain strong relationships across the organization
  • Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast paced environment with strict attention to detail
  • Ability to assess risks, analyze situations and determine next course of action
  • Ability to manage internal and external confidential information with utmost discretion
  • Ability to interact professionally with all organizational levels, building productive internal/external working relationships;
  • Must be able to work in a team environment, including interdepartmental teams, assigned client group(s), and key contacts representing the organization on contracts or projects
  • Ability to interact with senior internal and external personnel on significant matters often requiring coordination between organizations
Adhere to all company rules and requirements (e.g., pandemic protocols, Environmental Health & Safety rules) and take adequate control measures in preventing injuries to themselves and others as well as to the protection of environment and prevention of pollution under their span of influence/control
