Job Description:


Purpose of the Position:


The Finance Manager is the support business partner to the affiliate areas, providing support to develop and achieve business financial goals, will provide business accurate information, insights, timely and accurate records by managing the controllership function.

This role reports to the Finance Associate Director and will work in close cooperation with the global finance shared service and the local accounting partner firm to ensure the proper and compliant operation, follow up and optimization of the global processes and policies related to the financial local operations for Colombia and Distributors


Essential Duties & Job Functions:


The Finance Manager is the support business partner to the affiliate areas, providing support to develop and achieve business financial goals, will provide business accurate information, insights, timely and accurate records by managing the controllership function.

This role reports to the Finance Associate Director and will work in close cooperation with the global finance shared service and the local accounting partner firm to ensure the proper and compliant operation, follow up and optimization of the global processes and policies related to the financial local operations for Colombia and Distributors

The responsibilities for this role include, but are not limited to:
Manage accounting operations, prepare financial reports and analyze financial data for close activities on a monthly and quarterly basis. Provide financial and business support to the commercial and support areas of the cluster.

Responsible for the timely and accurate review and posting of month end close and accounting transactions; P&L and balance sheet account analysis, review, reconciliation & resolution; and financial analysis.

Evaluate and manage risk and financial compliance to ensure GAAP compliance (Local and International approach) Consistently maintains and implement appropriate internal controls and upholds company policies & procedures including corporate controller's manual.

Liaise and interact successfully with internal and external auditors to support quarter end, interim and year-end audits by providing timely & accurate data and communication.

Successful implementation of local and corporate financial projects. Interacts and influences peers across the company functions to ensure project completion in a successful way.

Take an important responsibility on the annual budget cycle and long-range plan and provide regular business updates, six-quarter rolling forecasts, and ad hoc forecasts to measure actual financial performance against approved business plans and provide analysis of variances.

Supervise local Finance and Accounting activities in close liaison with the Shared Services Centre and the Accounting firm. Ensure proper design and operation of the procure to pay and order to cash processes.

Ensure compliance with local laws and regulations (commercial register, social security administration, etc.) and maintain internal control requirements to ensure Sarbanes-Oxley compliance.

Participate and support commercial and services areas in the development of the Region business strategy.

Competencies / Skills / Knowledge

  • Strong knowledge of general accounting policies and procedures
  • Indepth knowledge of SAP or equivalent ERP is essential.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft tools (Excel, Outlook, and Word) is required.
  • Ability to successfully manage the relationships with financial peers and interact effectively with nonfinancial personnel.
  • Solid presentation skills are required.
  • Significant experience in a multicurrency environment is required.
  • Ability to work in a deadlinedriven and multitasking environment.
