About the role
As part of 3Shape Academy, this role plans, directs, and coordinates the department's operations in Colombia. Works in collaboration with partners/resellers, internal colleagues, and end-users in delivering and using 3Shape products and services.

The Academy Operations Manager is responsible for ensuring and improving the performance, productivity, efficiency, and profitability of the Academy and organizational operations by providing effective methods and strategies.


Your key responsibilities will be to:

  • Coordinate, manage and monitor the workings of various department functions.
  • Assist in preparing and controlling operational budgets.
  • Improve processes and policies in support of organizational goals. Formulate and implement departmental and organizational policies and procedures to maximize output. Monitor adherence to rules, regulations, and procedures.
  • Plan the use of human resources. Organize recruitment and placement of required staff. Establish organizational structures. Delegate tasks and accountabilities. Establish work schedules. Supervise staff. Monitor and evaluate performance.
  • Monitor performance and implement improvements. Ensure quality of training and delivery. Manage quality and quantity of employee productivity. Manage maintenance of software and equipment at facilities and employees. Provide technical support where necessary.
  • Monitor, manage and improve the efficiency of support services such as IT, HR, Accounts and Finance. Facilitate coordination and communication between support functions.
  • Liaison with management and Academy Director. Assist in the development of strategic plans for operational activity. Implement and manage operational plans.
  • Adheres to company policies, procedures, and directives regarding standards of workplace behavior in completing duties and assignments
  • Manages and submit expenses for reimbursement according to company policy
  • Coach and mentor onboarding of new Academy members
  • Float to assist regions with excess training needs
  • Assist with training events
  • Monthly financial and resource reporting
  • Provides support to the Academy Director

Work Environment:


This is a facility-based position that includes frequent international travel; with the option to work from home 1-2 days a week.


Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:

This is a full-time, regular position.


Travel Requirements:

25% travel is expected, local and international


Physical Requirements:

While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly asked to talk and hear. The employee frequently is required to use hands to handle documents, objects (dental models, scanner wands) or controls.

The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, sit reach with hands or arms, and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.

Lifting requirements are up to 30 lbs.

The employee will be required to travel by air and will physically need to be able to navigate these activities.
