Associate Director - Structured Finance - Colombia

Fitch Ratings Latin American Structured Finance Group is looking for a new credit analyst to join our growing team. The position is open for an Associate Director responsibility in our Bogota office.

We'll Count on You To:


  • Analyzing critical credit, legal and structural elements of Structured Finance transactions.
  • Leading rating committee processes for new and existing transactions and loan servicers in an individual and group basis.
  • Responsible for the surveillance of a selected portfolio of existing transactions.
  • Producing quality internal and external written reports with predetermined frequency including credit committees, criteria, special reports and market commentaries.
  • Communicating Fitch rating methodology and criteria to originators, structuring agents and investors.
  • Leading and/or supporting research projects for the region in coordination with his/her manager and Asset Heads for Structured Finance Latin America.
  • Participate on criteria reviews and updates.
  • Provide mentoring for junior analysts and new joiners.
  • Assist and up to some point, lead virtual and live meetings with originators and servicers as part of the surveillance of existing ratings and the proposal of new ratings.

What You Need to Have:


  • Strong analytical thinking
  • Superb attention to detail and time management skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills in both English and Spanish
  • Excellent proficiency in Excel is required
  • Working knowledge of VBA and SQL is a plus
  • Working knowledge of structured finance is required
- +6 years of working experience in credit markets, debt capital market, structured finance

  • Previous exposure to credit rating, structured finance analysis or credit modeling for ABS a plus
