  • PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The holder of the position must independently execute the following tasks:

  • Edits and maintains jobs (Exports/Imports) in WorldStar.
  • Writes conversationprotocols.
  • Calculates transittimes.
  • Calculates shipment prices.
  • Raises jobs in WorldStar and edits these if need arises.
  • Selects routings by deciding on a single or combination of transportationtypes (airplane, car, train, Aerolink).
  • Performs a "Routing Check", specifically in regards to the selection and combination of different transport models (airplane, car, train, Aerolink).
  • Orders drivers (pickup / delivery of shipments at the customer, delivery / pickup of shipments at the freightcompany).
  • Checks collected shipments in the office and prepares them for transport.
  • Books and preadvises shipments.
  • Monitors shipments during the transport and reacts flexibly to any deviation from the plan.
  • Continuously checks the notes in WorldStar and handles preadvised shipments.
  • Checks the planned departure or arrival times of flights ("Post Flight Check").
  • Completes jobs (enters extracharges, pricing).
  • Invoices shipments.
  • Checks the internal debits and credits (Clearinghouse).
  • Works securely with all pertinent regulations (ADR / DGR / IATA) as well as the relevant laws and ordinances.
  • Uses and maintains the available technical tools (WorldStar, OpStar, BioStar, OAG, Flight Monitor).
  • Maintains clinical trails using BioStar (study management).
  • Regularly partakes in being oncall.
  • Orders office supplies.
  • Manages the storeroom (packaging, supplies, coolingmedia, etc).
  • Communicates with national and international World Courier stations / Aerolink / agents.
  • Builds and maintains relationships to contractors / transporters (airlines, handling agents, the Rail, customs, government agencies, veterinarians, suppliers, etc).

He performs preliminary actions, specifically:

  • Preconditioning and preplacement of packagingmaterials and coolingmedia.
  • Marking and labelling of shipments as per regulations.
  • Preparation and/or procurement of all necessary documentation (HWB, MAWB, import or export permit, export customs paperwork, live animal certificate, dangerous goods declaration, etc).
  • Checks transport documents as per GGVS / ADR / IATA-DGR.

He advises customers through:

  • Explanation of the services.
  • Explanation of the transport charges.
  • Selection of the optimal transport alternative.
  • Selection of the necessary documents for the transport.
  • Information about irregularities / delays.
  • Informing the customer of the delivery data (POD).
  • The acceptance, examination and forwarding of complaints.
He carries out all customs formalities (Export / Import) through:

  • The inspection and/or procurement of all necessary paperwork for the import or export (import or export permit, export customs paperwork, etc.).
  • The determination of all customs and/or taxes, and entering these in WorldStar.
  • Customs declaration (electronic or by internet) at the responsible customs office (Import / Export
  • ATLAS/NCTS for export declaration ; verbal customs declaration for lowvalue clearance ; CARNET procedure for carnet shipments
He supports sales through

  • Forwarding relevant information to the Sales Executive
  • Preparation and execution of written offers

Individual tasks:


The holder of the position is obligated to perform, in addition to the above described tasks, individual tasks assigned by his superiors, which are to be seen by their nature as part of his work area, or which arise out of necessity.


REPORTS DIRECTLY TO:
Customer Service Supervisor or Operations Supervisor, or rather to the Branch Manager / Country Manager / General Manager

What your background should look like
Bachelor's degree in international business, Business Administration.

  • 3 5 years of experience in.
  • English Fluent
  • Multi-Lingual, English required
