About the role:

In this client facing role you will be responsible for the delivery and marketing of Swiss Re's impressive underwriting proposition and be a key component of the Swiss Re Latam brand.

Swiss Re has an established Underwriting Team split in 3 locations Mexico City, Bogotà and Sao Paulo. You could be based either in Bogotá or in Mexico City.

This opportunity offers great career development opportunities for experienced underwriters from both direct insurance or reinsurance environments who are really looking for a role where they can directly influence the success of Swiss Re and its partners in Latam with specific focus on Andean Region.

The role will work together with the dedicated cross functional teams (client managers, claims, costing, business service and technical accounting) on product development, innovation, data analytics, underwriting automated solutions and in helping to establish Swiss Re as the premier underwriting partner of choice to support our clients with their growth ambitions.

About you:

Being an experienced L&H underwriter with more than 5 years' experience
Having significant awareness of market and portfolio dynamics and experience in data literacy, digital adoption and/or alternative data sources
Strategic ability to translate technical knowledge into clearly articulated commercial proposals including benefits/impacts and automated solutions
Leading and driving tasks and projects to completion with accountability, combined with being eager to collaborate and support colleagues and the wider Latam team.
Being comfortable talking to our partners at all levels and ideally have some experience of marketing insurance or reinsurance services.
You have a strong technical underwriting expertise, and you are fluent in Spanish and English
