Key Responsibilities and General Accountabilities:


  • Oversees the AP processes within the SSC and provides objectives to the team members.
  • Manages, coordinates and develops/ coaches the SSC AP staff and actively plans the succession to develop and replace individuals effectively.
  • Proactively manages and monitors KPIs and SLAs to drive accuracy and timeliness of all deliverables.
  • Handling accounts payable for multiple legal entities, and currencies, expense reports, and period end accruals.
  • Developing and maintaining relationships with new and existing vendors
  • Ensuring payments are approved in accordance with corporate policies and internal controls including comparing purchase orders, prices, terms of payment and other charges.
  • Drive the process of streamlining and improving existing AP procedures
  • Establishes regular communication to share successes, and challenges or concerns with all SSC Key Stakeholders to ensure issues are identified, tracked and resolved in a timely manner.
  • With a high priority, identifies, research, develops and implements improvements to existing processes, systems, and procedures in SSC AP processes.
  • Builds and sustains a high level of cooperation with other departments in the SSC (e.g., GL, AR) as well as with BC partners outside the center.
  • Maintains strong controls ensuring all group policies and statutory requirements are complied with by the SSC AP team. Elevates the relevancy and timeliness of the control environment.
  • Supervises payment run process ensuring all suppliers are paid in a timely manner.
  • Builds a culture of continuous improvement that ensures process flows and standard operating procedures are both kept current and reviewed by all staff and stakeholders, and constantly enhanced and improved.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:


  • Strong Finance Acumen
  • Successful transition project experiences (transition activities into SSC and process progression models).
  • Working knowledge in ERP (SAP, ) and other finance and support systems.
  • Experience in a Shared Service environment or similar
  • Ability to read, write and communicate in English and Spanish in a business setting
  • Ability to pay close attention to detail and high degree of customer orientation
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills
  • Highly results driven and selfmotivated team player

Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related.
  • 5 to 8 years relevant work experience in the accounting / business area
  • Broad and deep theoretical understanding of job function
  • Fluent English is required
