- An integral member of the LatAm regional team reporting to Senior Underwriters; responsible for pricing and technical underwriting analysis using AXA XL's reinsurance tools to determine expected profitability; responsible for individual assigned treaties/ LoB's and territories within the LatAm region.
- Reviews and advises on technical proposals and coaches underwriter assistants in their approach to pricing, use and understanding of underwriting systems, tools, and reporting mechanisms.
- Recommends appropriate underwriting action, with proper supporting documentation and filing, to ensure compliance within the company's internal guidelines. Prepares underwriting committees on a regular basis.
- Executes the long-term profitable growth and diversification of assigned territories/clients.
- Accountable and trustworthy team player with outstanding communication and negotiation skills. Ability to work well with both internal and external stakeholders.
- College degree with an emphasis in business, finance, actuarial, economics, statistics or related fields.
- Some experience as a reinsurance underwriter/broker with moderate insurance/reinsurance technical analysis experience
- Ability to make decisions autonomously and proactively and manage a seasonally high workload.
- Fluent in English
