Position Overview

DAI is seeking a Specialist to support the Global Operations team. The Global Operations team works to define and operationalize ways in which DAI can convert its geographic footprint into a geographic capability to better position the company to win work and delivery quality work in focus countries among target customers. This position provides corporate administrative, management, communications, records retention, data management and reporting, and financial support to the Global Operations team, primarily in its management of key geographically based corporate offices, functions, and teams, global entity management, and other designated corporate functions. The position provides support and collaborates with colleagues within Global Operations and Strategy as needed.

This is a full-time, permanent position.

Responsibilities

This position is responsible for the following key functions:

Communications

·Maintains central communications platform (i.e. Sharepoint) regarding assets, data, locations, entities, contact info, and operational information for the geographic platforms, and other DAI corporate assets.

·Contributes to cross-team knowledge sharing and is responsible for promoting standardization across geographic platforms, entities, and other corporate assets with respect to operational updates, policies, best practices, and opportunities for consultation and collaboration.

·Contributes to cross business unit and corporate communications with respect to updates, news, challenges, standards, and opportunities for consultation and collaboration with geographic platforms, entities, and other corporate assets.

·Initiates and identifies ways to proactively communicate with business units and corporate departments, and as needed projects.

Quality Assurance

·Schedule and ensure routine updates and reviews of key metrics and data quality.

·Responsible for following up on specific action items and/or taking measures for operational improvements as needed resulting from consultation and collaboration.

Compliance and Control

·Troubleshoots complex, or cross-team challenges and roll out standardized changes where possible.

·Ensures, spot check, and provide trainings on compliance with applicable DAI policies and procedures and provide recommendations for best practices that improve, optimize, or streamline compliance and/or risk – with respect to policies, processes, systems, and transactions – based on the applicable entity, and/or geographic platform, and/or cost pool.

·Ensures compliance with internal and external audit findings.

·Ensures overall compliance of corporate functions and assets are in accordance with DAI policies, processes, standards, schedules of authorities.

·Resolves complex compliance issues with appropriate escalation and collaboration with senior management.

Financial Management

·Monitors and reviews costs, and escalates any as needed, including bi-monthly geographic platform office costs, intercompany invoices, and other corporate asset costs assigned.

·Responsible for ensuring accuracy of vendor or consultant invoices.

·Works with intercompany team and corporate finance to ensure transactions and commitments are maintained in accordance with policies, and that are consistent with budgets and approvals provided for shared or transferred costs.

Additional responsibilities as deemed necessary.

Qualifications & Skills

Minimum Requirements:

·At the P5 level: Minimum of 4 years of professional experience, ideally with at least 1 year managing USAID-funded programs, and a college degree in a related field, such as business administration, management, international development and/or other related discipline required. Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.

·Demonstrated experience in budgeting, general management, operations, and financial management, with a strong understanding of the practices, theories, and policies involved in business and finance.

·Knowledge of U.S. federal government regulations, policies, and procedures

·Advanced MS Office skills, especially conducting quantitative analysis in Excel and Power BI

·Excellent oral and written communication skills

·Strong administrative, analytical, and organizational skills, with demonstrated meticulous attention to detail.

·Experience building and maintaining collaborative, respectful relationships with colleagues and external clients at all levels and from diverse cultures and backgrounds.

·Willingness to adjust work schedule as needed to support teams located in different time zones/countries.

·Demonstrated commitment to fostering and maintaining and environment of diversity, inclusion, and belonging.

·Must be able to travel on assignments for DAI projects (minimum one travel assignment per year).

·Authorized to work in the United States.

Preferred, but not required:

·Master's degree in a relevant area

·Experience working in a developing country.

·Professional working proficiency in Spanish desired, but not required.

·Previous experience working at DAI.

·Experience with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software and other financial, procurement, accounting, and/or data and workflow resource management systems.

Compensation & Benefits:

At the P5 level: For employees working the United States, the full-time equivalent annual base salary for this position is expected to be between $82,417 to $89,689.

Salary for part-time employees will be prorated based on actual hours worked. Actual offers will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, qualifications, relevant education, experience, skills, seniority, performance, and business or organizational needs.

Eligible U.S. based employees will be able to enroll in medical, dental and vision insurance, plus a 401(k)-retirement plan with a company match. Additionally, employees will be eligible for company-paid annual leave (vacation & holidays), sick leave, and parental leave, as well as short- and long-term disability coverage. Detailed information will be provided at the time a formal offer is extended.

For employees working outside of the United States, compensation and benefits will vary based on location.
